My approach to WW2 has not (& never will) been that dedicated. I have small-ish late war American, British & German forces.

However, we've been looking at a new rule set that requires a more ordered & historical organisation of forces. The result is my haphazard collection lacks some necessary elements. Specifically, artillery and some vehicles to allow you to field historically accurate infantry battalions & brigades with attached artillery & armoured support elements.

I don't need a lot, but I need some- where do you buy decent, hopefully not overly expensive, 20mm items as indicated? eg 10.5 towed howitzer, various SPGs of French origin for the Germans, priests for the Americans etc.

It depends on how accurate you want the scale to be. The big divide is between 1/76 and 1/72 and then within the scaling how accurate the model is. Hasegawa is generally an over scale 1/72. For a one stop shop you could try SHQ. I stick mainly to 1/76 and therefore have used Airfix, Fujimi and Matchbox. The latter's priest is a nice kit and is still available from Revell. Plastic Soldier has some useful quick build 1/72 scale kits of vehicles and guns, their 6pdr( 57mm) comes with the correct tow a loyd carrier. My US 105mm came from Brittania, but Andy Grubb who now runs it is a bit unreliable especially with mail order.
