Alex I love your Prussian figures a lot.
But the choice of company name is a confusing one.

DAF miniatures already exist for 60 years:

http://mchminiatuurnieuws.punt.nl/conte ... -miniatuur

From an Eastern European point of view DAF probably means nothing.
But in western Europe DAF is well known and its the city of Eindhoven's second pride after Philips.

Peter has a point here:

Van Doorne's Aanhangwagen Fabriek
meaning: Van Doorne's Trailer Factory
or: Der Alte Fritz

Maybe .. But I do not have to do with it. As far as I know - it's the first letter of the name of the owners of the company ..
It is also likely that the full company name : "Dafminiatures" that probably eliminates questions ..
:-D
Mr. Cryns , DAF trucks are very well known in Eastern Europe, along with VOLVO - is the most favorite trucks for the long haul, they are very much on the Russian roads.

They - certainly a very strange company. They preferred to be "gray cardinals" for many projects. I know them personally, I was in their office in Moscow (in reality - there is an enormous amount of literature, ancient weapons (17-19 century) and costumes) They prepared historical references to many sets of "ZVEZDA" and releases the magazines and books with good color illustrations. But your site making it laziness ... amazing ..
