Very cool! I like the way you have expanded the bases with coins and greenstuff, as well.

The Redbox Centaurs are almost exactly as realistic as the Amazon Warrior set.

It sounds very well, Paul...specially those Elves, Rohan and Gondor sets. Any news about their development stage at present?

I only hope that they will be based on The Lord of the Rings movies series, just like their Half Orcs (namely Uruk-Hai), Warriors of the Dead and Warg Orcs.

My best regards. :-)

All i know is that it was mentioned that they were having Problems but soon after that the scans of the Centaurs appeared. I too hope the elves etc will be similar to the film versions

I often thought to convert some horses but never got round to doing it.
Most certainly the ancient stuff needed to do conversions is out there, and it would be a cool project for someone else to do.

However that super, `minted', based up set posted by Paul, looks really good to the eye that`s for sure. BB

How good are those figures already made? Fancy a change and thinking of doing some LOTR figures could be fun.

Not really my thing but these are the kind of figures that just seem to follow you home from the hobby shop.

I think Redbox have done a pretty good job here on a subject that would be very easy to do badly. I really like the hoplite type figure charging with the lance, If there's a few of those in the box it will be tempting. The swordsman, spearman and archer are pretty good too; I'm not crazy about the other two but they're OK.

I quite like these, and I know some folks will really love them, It's good that manufacturers are making things a bit out of the ordinary and not just in 28mm.
