Does anyone have contact details of the event managers? Website Impressum seems to be broken and I refuse to create a Facebook account. I have some details about the competitions that are a bit unclear to me.

Er... :neutral:
I saw that. Yes. But that reply form is not made for requests etc. And if you click on the imprint-button, you only get a page (http://smallscaleconvention.jimdo.com/about/) that shows no contact details at all.

Well. What do you think? Everything with 5+ figures counts as a diorama and everything with lesser figure is a vignette, while single figures and 2-4 figure vignettes are in the same cathegory - that's my interpretation. Or is it only single figures and dioramas, so that 2-4 figure vignettes are irrelevant at all?

I only ask because I told Francesco to bring his figures into the competition and if 2-4 figure vignettes don't count at all, I'm having a problem.

.

Does seem a bit confusing...a bit like a sketch where someone is trying to give details of how to do something but it all ends up the same.
Seeing as animals don´t count, I´m wondering if I could put in a dio with one farmer, his dogs and 2000 sheep. :-D

According to the rules, you're in. Single figure vignette, 2m*2m, filled with sheep.
What if I make a vignette showing a cat sitting on a window board, watching the doves on the other side of the window? Would that be a reason for disqualification because due to the definition, no figures would be involved?

Again, I'm thinking about that 'invisible man' vignette... :lol:

Do you think? I have the same problem next week in Mol. I entered three works last year in one category, wich I thought was for the small figures. After a couple of hours I went looking to the other entries, and how big was my surprise, they entered two 1/35 figure diorama's. Guess what happened at the proclamatation: third place and bronze medal ;-)
Now see what happens next week. I will do the same thing :-D But this time I have one with a vehicle on it. Maybe they will move it to another category. And you can't do a thing against it because it is mentioned in the rules that this can happen. :(

According to the event description, maximum scale shall be 28mm.

Mmh... now I'm asking myself how the 'classes' are defined. What is 'beginner' level, what is 'standard'?

Another thing....the rules for taking part. I can´t see anywhere that it states wether the entry should be;
1. Own work
2. New work
Usually it is stated;
1. Own work..no-one else involved
2. No old stuff..ie; not seen before on the web or other comps

Yep. And guess what - I'm done with my contributions, although the replacements arrived too late (if Francesco reads this ;-) ).
Whatever. I'm not intending to win any price anyway, so it's just for doing some promotion for Franznaps' great work. :-)

But I'm pretty curious about what will happen. :mrgreen:
