We dug him out

Posted by Uwe on 02 Oct 2013, 14:30

Hi guys,

I am very glad to inform you that Michael Gohres (MGM Modellbau) is
back. And much more important, he joined us at Hagen-miniatures too with
a lot of other collectors and manufactors over the last two weeks.

Michael is prominent for all his exotic WW2 vehicles etc. But he went into
other periods too.

Now we have his new range of ACW guns and vehicles which are available
here
http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/produkte/category/view/157

I think stuff like this is not only interesting for the ACW but other wars of the 19th century too

Beside this in our ACW-range we were able to get the old Wodensfeld figures too. At the moment I put just the sets within the shop, need to paint the sample sets which is a lot of work as each is 10 different figures.

Most of the sets are marching figures. All my old figures I used in our Gettysburg project in the 1990ies. Some of them you can see marching here

This gun is a "must have" for me. But what about a crew for it?

Great stuff. Is that the same diorama that was showcased on the Kai Fuhrmann website years ago?

I spent countless of hours drooling over the photos on the old Kai Furhmann website. Too bad it's gone now. It was an amazing source of inspiration. :-)

Hi guys,

Michael also made some guncrews for both sides which are available in our shop too.

I made a mistake and put the link on the ACW-flags from TS. Sorry, now they are sorted correctly.

You can search after subjects instead of manufactors, here you will find all the ACW stuff.

http://www.hagen-miniatures.de/index.php/produkte/category/view/127?start=24

Sorry, I don't have bigger photos from his range, these in the shop are the ones he sent me.

As for Gettysburg, check my blog. I scanned all my own photos I made and put them in several postings nearly 2 years ago.

http://historyin172.blogspot.de/search/label/ACW?updated-max=2012-05-19T05:31:00-07:00&max-results=20&start=5&by-date=false

All the postings have a label, so when you press the marking "ACW" at the end of a posting you will find all the ACW subjects I have on the blog. In this case the photos from Gettysburg and Fredericksburg. Klick on the photos to get the bigger resolution and see the details.

cheers

Is it possible to view the gun crew unpainted?

Yes, the old gallery page of Kai Fuhrmann was a great source of inspiration - and one of the reasons that convinced me to re-enter this hobby after a gap of decades. It is a bit difficult to locate, but it is still there: http://www.fuhrmann-figuren.de/sammlervorstellung/hauptteil_sammler_stellen_vor_index.html.

Sorry but we have no photo of an unpainted crew. But maybe you can send Andy a mail under Hagen-miniatures and he can make a photo of a set from the shop?

What I also dug out are these painted Wodensfeld Berdan's sharpshooters from my collection.

I also put the photos in the shop as we have the figures but no painted ones there at the moment.
