The 3 German sets are excellent! I see many conversions possible,and the poses are great. I really like working with Caesar figures and will pick up duplicates,nice work Caesar!

Indeed, although I can't see any circumstances where I would buy WW2 Germans I am actually happy they meet your needs.

The only one I'd like to buy is the german engineer troopers. I'd rather see Tam o'shanters/glengarry's then others a.t.m. Though sofar, not manny manufacturers make them.

The Stalingrad set has a surrendering figure pose so Caesar must be given credit for that. I am not sure how many figures are to be in this set though it says 8 poses I hope it does not mean 8 figures.
The HB series are what they call expansion sets though I am not sure how the other sets fit in with that. HB06 is like every German set ever released and offers nothing new and the Modern Americans look similar to stuff already released (BTW have they stopped wearing knee pads ?). The other sets have one or two figures a little different to the norm but most are fairly standard.

Nothing against inventive imaginative poses of Germans of all phases of WWII but I think we all get a bit weary of the nondescript early/mid war parade ground/manoeuvres look that was the standard fare of the Airfix/Matchbox figures of 40-50 years ago.

I have some figures from the HB series, and usually they tend to bring +/- 20 figures in each set, and they blend well with the supposed parent sets it´s just a question of adding more poses.

As for the Modern Americans I will be buying these ones, since they complement their other sets and they bring more possibilities for conversions.

Now for a quick review based on the pictures in Hannants, in a first look they seem to be wearing very light equipment, most of the weapons seems to be M-4´s, no heavy weapons or SAW (so a FOB comes to mind) that could explain the lack of knees pads, but then again those things are gruesome to wear on patrol, and many soldiers use them in the ankles ready to be used, or none whatsoever, but will have to see see the figures to be more accurate.

IMHO I would prefer if Caesar should release more sets from their range CM (other than German), that way we could get more Nations, and preferably with more time periods.

A lot of recent photos on the US army site show many are still wearing kneepads or trouser re-inforcings at the knee. The point man tends to have knee pads and you are right they often have them on what we would call the shins ready to pull up. They are easier to put on a model than carve off so maybe it is a good default. Most of the Caesar figures seem to be wearing neck armour which in most recent photos seems to be left off (comfort reasons?). A lot of soldiers also wear protective goggles anti laser/small frag etc transparent or sunshaded.The term modern is bound to be relative and usually dates quickly.
The Vepa figures are superb and I have most of their US sets so those are my standard.

I should have been a bit more specific or better yet wide range, it´s a question of commanders choice and/or permission, it depends on the mission at hand (type of insertion) and so on, and we will see photos of both types and even mixed.

The reinforced knees that are mostly seen are the ones patented by Crye Precision.

It´s true Interceptor body armor (IBA) that has the mandarin colar, was "discharged" for the lighter Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) and it would be a lengthy post only about this.

And almost all brands forget the eyewear for protection.

If you mean Caesar's promised Babylonian set, this would be worth 50 sets of WW2 Germans.
