Airfix announced the following 1/72 (or 1/76 or whatsoever) kits for the next year:

A02339 - Willys Jeep, Trailer and 6pdr Gun
From what I can see on the picture, it's rather an US build pack howitzer than the much desired 6pdr though... .

Didn't they already have one in their catalogue?

Thus, the cooperation with Heller seems to have been permanently discontinued now.
The Jeep and the LCVP were both already part of their respective catalogs.
It seems, though, as if the molds were finally awarded to Heller.
Therefore Airfix designs now new models of the corresponding vehicles.

J6010 - Quick Build Challenger Tank
Not sure which scale this kit might be, but interisting to see them jumping on the "Fast Assembly" bandwagon as well.

Some more of these rateher clodhopping and horrendous priced resin buildings.

Plus a few more aircraft as well, a C-47 Dakota with an additional jeep for example.
I'm particularly interested into the new Dornier Do17 and the Bristol Blenheim variants.

Smart move that they offer the already released Tilly, Bedford and BSA M20 Motorcycle as seperate "RAF Vehicle Set " set now. So we don't have to buy all those extra bombs and accessory every time we want a Tilly.

Anyway, good to see them rolling!
Maybe they will relearn how to make figures one day, there's always hope!

There are already several different kits available, no doubt all will be better that Airfix in the first place.
Too bad they don't retool/reissue the Centurion

The WW1 artillery barrage set looks interesting, a 7.7 german gun ,a British 13pdr and glue.... ? curiouser and curiouser...

I see they have a German 77fk96nA listed - that's new! Airfix never had one of those in their 50-year old WW1 line-up. Where is that coming from? Some speculation that they have purchased it from Emhar.

Of course they could use the gun from their WW1 RHA set; it's supposed to be a 13pdr but it looks like nothing more than a cake decoration, so they could call it German, American, French or even Ruritanian.

Also puzzled by the WWI The First Assault Gift Set 1:72. It has "French Infantry 1914" and
"German Infantry 1914" Their old WW1 German infantry are fine for 1914, but the French are in Adrian helmets.

It would be easy to read a lot into what looks like a rushed press release that has then been composted into a web page.
The Jeep with spare wheel at the front and a pack howitzer looks like an Airborne version eg for a Dakota or glider but then again could be a standard version when released. It could be an attractive set if done properly.
Gift sets tend not to have new things just a rehash but who knows?
The Tilly is a Standard Tilly not just a Tilly
BTW the Airfix David Brown tractor and Bedford are close in scale to Oxford Diecast's similar but 1/76 scale models. The Airfix Standard Tilly is different to Oxford's which is an Austin* but a pretty good chassis match which is true of the full scale Utilities. The Bedfords are so close I will use the Airfix one to upgrade the rather basic Oxford one, ditto the David Brown tractor. I have both sets of models and compared them. A very fine set from Airfix like the Bedford QLs.

The moral of that one is the litmus test is the model in front of you not box scales, blurbs, hypotheses, musings, authentic chats etc.

*The Ace model's Austin is bigger and is probably close to 1/72nd scale
