New Preiser 1/72 scale figure sets

Posted by Steve Crow on 26 Jul 2014, 11:38

I am sure everyone is as frustrated as I am with the failure of Preiser to release 1/72 scale sets that have long been featured in the catalogue. In particular I have an interest in the seated modern US soldiers. I think these were first announced in 2010.

I have tried, several times, to get a release date for this and other sets from the company. They have responded with predictions that never materialise.

I probably can guess the answer, but does anybody know what is happening at Preiser? Do they have an agenda that is not obvious? Possibly not making new 1/72 scale figures?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help but I just wanted to add that I would love to know about this too. I am waiting desperately for the seated modern US to finish a few kits of mine off.

Preiser's main purpose, I think, is to make figures and stuff to railway layouts so 1/72 is not their preferred (prefurred???, bah, I spell how I want to) scale. Unfortunately, for they have many lovely usable figures.
