Scibor 1/72 resin figures news 10/2014

Posted by Erich von Manstein on 26 Oct 2014, 12:44

The polish manufacturer Scibor added two new resin sets to their quickly growing range.

This new sets are again part of the currently popular Poland 1939 topic.

72HM0024 - "Polish Fiat 621 crew" (to man the corresponding First to Fight kit))
72HM0025 - "Polish FT17 1920 turret and crew" (turret is made for FtF kit)
Each set contais 2 very nicely sculpted resin figures.

See their whole Polish Historical Miniatures range (1/72 & other scales) here:

For me, another worthwhile addition to a far too long overlooked WWII ToW!

I just got there R35 crew and they look very nice, they are a bit flashy around the legs but I think they will clean up nicely, they remind me a bit of Milicast figures

Scibor really keeps 'em coming at the moment.

Today I spotted another new 1/72 set at their website.
Again, it is a Poland 1939 subject and, again, it is an add-on for a FtF kit, this time their TK-3 tankette kits.

72HM0026 - Polish TK-3 1939 crew (2 very nice looking crew figures + an open hatch & replacement gun for the FtF kit)

Not sure if the hatch will fit on RPM or ESO TK-3's as well though?
Anyway, another welcomed addition to a long neglected ToW.

I've visited their web page and I saw some awesome 28mm fantasy figures (Romans and Spartans for example). Unfortunately 46€ for 5 28mm figures is way too much for my pocket :?

That may be true, but 28mm Fantasy is a completely different sector & target group.
If we are talking about their pricing policy, then it should at this point also be mentioned that the prices for their 1/72nd sets (which are the topic here) are really fair and modest imho.
Between 4,20 and 7,50 Euos depending on topicality & volume. Thus they perform comparatively well when watching the pricing policy of many other resin manufacturers.

I'm not criticising their price. As producers they have right to set any price they want. And me, as a buyer, can freely decide if I want to pay that price or not. But they cannot blame me if I don't buy one of most expensive 28mm fantasy figure I ever saw on the market. Cheers ;)

Kekso,
nobody is blaming you. I just thought that mentioning Scibor's admittedly expensive 28mm Fantasy figures could distract people from checking out their modestly priced & highly interisting 1/72 sets.
Imho, discussion about 28mm figures doesn't belong into this thread which was clearly aimed at 1/72 and folks intested into exactly this scale. :-D

Btw, I absolutely agree with your remark about the pricing policy regarding their 28mm Fantasy figs, but that seems to be a topic for another thread. ;-) :P
