Linear A regular news 2018

Posted by Erich von Manstein on 10 Apr 2018, 10:54

Apart from their current crowdfunding activities Linear A is also working on several conventionally distributed sets. After their earlier "Folk of Judea" & the most recently released first set of "1st century AD Germanic Warriors" we knew about those others so far:

008 - "Silk Road in Ancient Times"
011 - "Hannibal Crosses the Alps"

Both equally localised in the classical antiquity period.
Linear A added several other figures to their future catalogue now, which seem intended to be released as regular sets. So, they're not part of their crowdfunding projects as far as I get it.

010 - Germanic Warriors 1st century AD Set 2 (Varian Disaster part II, see above)
014 - Villanovan Culture Warriors 800-600 BC (early Iron Age culture in Italy)
015 - "Battle of Cunaxa 401 BC"/"Xenophon`s War" Set 1 (their site indicates Persian Warriors)

Again, all belonging to the classical antiquity era. The Villanovan figures could be categorised into its very early archaic period though.
Linear A might not be the fastest 1/72 manufacturer, but their unique output has been all the better so far.

Excellent news for all Ancient buffs here! :yeah:

I like very the new figure-projects of Linear, especially Hannibal - hope that they will been more dynamic than the last germanic warriors.
I have only some doubts on the first Persians figures. They are looking quite well, but their posture seems me quite unnatural. They are looking more like orthodox interpretations of two-dimensional reliefs, a method which seems me strange....

Iron Age Villanovans! Can't wait! Why not even Bronze Age Terramarans? and Stone Age Hunters? Cro-Magnon vs Neanderthals, Prehistoric Mammals, Mammoths, Mastodons, Rhinos, Sabretooths...
Silk Way is a dream coming true! Marco Polo is approaching to the Court of Genghis Khan!
Hannibal on the Alps! Ancient warfare in cold, snowy environment! it's (quite) rare and new!
Germanic Warriors... are simply never enough! and the battle of Teutoburg Forest is a milestone in history!
Love Linear! Really

That is not what a real collector would say. But there is still time to retract this sin...
