Hat restocks

Posted by Rich W on 31 Dec 2023, 00:22

Just noticed that a big list of Hat restocks has made it on to online shops. Some of these sets haven't been in stock for quite some time.

Just thought I'd mention it incase people weren't aware and might miss out!

Thanks Rich. I grabbed French Middle Guard, Voltigeurs, Guard Chasseurs, Russian Militia and Austrian Landwehr all of which I had trouble finding this last year or 3. The 3 new Redbox Cossack sets are out too. Decisions, decisions!
Cheers,

Thank you, Rich, for this worthy information. I am still behind the 1806 Prussians and the Imperial Middle Guard. Hope to get them somewhere for a reasonable price.

Just seen another big re-release of Hat sets showing on Hannants new arrivals page. Again, some sets that I haven’t seen in a long time.

There are also the NEW Napoleonic Hungarian releases.

+ Linear A Assyrians. I'd love to see a scan of those figures.

My Hat Hungarians are on the way.

I hope that the flash is less than the Austrian ‘In action’ set.

Fingers crossed.

Stop Press!

My Hungarians have arrived and I am delighted to say that they seem flash free!

The bayonets are more like bayonets than broom poles, a great improvement.

They are the same size as the marching Austrians and on first impression are much better.

The at attention figure is ‘off message’ but overall, well done Hat.

More will be needed to fill the ranks now that these have passed muster.

Best wishes,

Chris

I have been prepping up my new Hungarians.

It seems the firing figures are not looking down the musket and indeed are bending backwards, perhaps auditioning for the Cirque Soliei!

A head twist and orthopaedic work has resolved the issue but hopefully this is a one off and not a mould issue.

A minor niggle in an otherwise lovely set of figures, apart from the two at attention guys per sprue.

They have limited application and seem a waste compared to the rest.

It will be interesting to see what PSR has to say.
