A nice idea of starting a petition Matt.

I'm glad more members share my opinion. I understand those who want to post larger scales but setting the limit to 1/72 is really neccesary otherwise we'll be outcast on our own forum like Maurice said. The 28mm community is just too large compared to 1/72 and smaller.

There also won't be a seperate category on the forum for 28mm or larger scales. People can get confused and post topics on 'larger scales' in the other categories, which means more moderating on our side and irritation amongst most members.

You can always drop me a PM if you don't know whether your 28mm post is accepted. :-)

Few considerations from my side:

It is true that allowing to post other scale, will bring more workload and confusion to the forum (see other forum in the net).

I do not agree to limit the forum just to plastic figures......resin and metal 1/72 figures SHOULD be allowed.

I'm also a 28mm figures painter and sincerely i've got a quite bigger collection in this scale than 1/72..

Together with SoL (italian forum) this Forum is dedicated to 1/72 figures....one ...if NOT the only one strictly 1/72 (SoL has sometimes other scale "infections")......KEEP IT LIKE THIS

I voted NO.

I'd like to clear up that the forum is for 1/72 scale and smaller, and it doesn't matter if they are metal, plastic etc.

I do 1/72 - 1/35 - 54mm, 75mm, 80mm, 90mm 1/16 well prety much all that can be put together and painted.

But my 1st love is 1/72 and always will be. And yes many times in other foruns and competitions here in Portugal I feel that I'm an outsider.

Here I feel at home. So I said NO :nono: :nono:

I'm a newbie here, and one of the reason I chose to become a member is because it was just about 1/72 (and smaller) = what I collect.
So I said 'no'.

I voted no. I think the focus on the smaller scales on this forum means that we have much more in common with each other. 1/72 scale is not popular for wargaming and painting in Australia, so I really value belonging to a virtual community where I can learn so much from people working on similar stuff. I'm astonished by the high quality of many of the 28mm figures out there, but I think there are other forums for them. Let's keep it small!

I haven't really been here long enough to warrant an opinion.

I will say that on the HaT forum, I simply don't open non-1/72 threads. I am just not interested in the larger scales.

I voted no, I'm here because it's only small scale...
in a lot of larger scale forums modelers seems to say that 1/72 isn't a real modeler scale...Here we are proving they are wrong...so let's continue...

I can only agree. The standard post in the large scale forums is, 'too small for my old eyes'. How do they paint all the detail work in the larger scales if they can't see anything of it in the small scale figs? (Also, there is a great technical innovation called a 'magnifying glass'.)

Moreover, the attitude is quite often patronizing. That is because 1/72 is associated with plastic toy soldiers only. The potential of the smaller scales for building larger scenes, among other things, is missed completely.
